Studies show that babies breastfed exclusively for the first six months are less prone to developing allergies later on in life than babies who aren't. In fact, there is mounting evidence that the longer you breastfeed, the greater the benefits in terms of health and development.
Similarly, the variety of food that a baby is exposed to in the first few years of life may well set the tone of his dietary preferences in later years.
One of the most common problems that mother encounter is how and when to wean. Parents can start introducing solid foods after six months so that by 12 months, solid foods become the main part of the baby's diet, with breast milk making up the balance. Introduction 0of solid foods must be a slow process, with care taken not to overwhelm the baby. Don't be too excited and try to do many things at the same time like switching from breast milk to formula along with introducing new food.
A good weaning diet is one that can provide the baby with the essential nutrients as well as variety. It should be balanced and food should be offered in moderation. Baby's food should also be easy to digest.

We all take sleep for granted. Sure we do suffer from insomia from time to time, but in general, we get more or less a full eight hours of sleep almost every night. For those of us who has sleeping problems, however, life can be much more difficult. Without adequate insomia remedies, I have spent many nights tossing and turning. I tried many cures for insomnia, but usually with no success. Although any drugstore will have several different insomia remedies, most did nothing for me. I even tried an insomia remedy that I got from a naturopath, but it did not help me at all.
It wasn't that the insomia remedies were totally ineffective. They did sedate me, and sometimes I would be able to sleep for a little while. However, the side effects of the insomnia remedies were quite often as bad as the disease itself. In order for insomnia remedies to give me any sleep at all, I would have to take a truly massive dose of the medication. I would still be sleep deprived when I woke up, but I would also be doped up from the insomia remedies. It was difficult for me to go about my day with no sleep at all, but it was even harder to go about with very little sleep and a drugged haze enveloping me. Nonetheless, I couldn't find any other solutions. A little sleep is better than none at all.
Finally, I gave up on the insomnia medication for a while and tried out some more natural cures. I would still take a soothing cup of herbal tea before I went to sleep, but if I couldn't sleep I would get up and do something else. Some of the best insomnia remedies involve what you do during the day. For example, if you can't sleep you should try not eating for a couple hours before you go to bed. Exercising is also a great help for getting to sleep at night.
When you do get an attack of insomia, you should not lie in bed tossing and turning all night. Instead, you should get up and do something. Insomnia remedies are great for some people, but sometimes you are just unable to get to sleep and that is that. If you get up and read for a couple hours, you might feel tired enough to go to sleep. At the very least, it will stop your mind from the worry that characterizes a bout of sleeplessness. You would not believe what a good insomia remedy that can be.
